About the Cohort
Are you entrusted with the ministry of preaching? Gathering in an online or hybrid format twice each month, from September through December 2022, we will become a “community of practice” for the ministry of preaching. Each session will be 90 minutes. This cohort will encourage practitioners of preaching as we seek to faithfully serve our communities, inspiring maturity in Christ and growth in the fruit of the Spirit.
After getting to know each other and our ministry contexts in an introductory gathering, Pastors will participate in a rhythm of listening to the Word, speaking through the sacred Scriptures. We are then invited to explore our “preaching paths,” sharing together how God may be speaking to our communities through the Scriptures.
Is the Preaching Cohort for me?
Pastoral leaders in the Church who understand Biblical preaching as a primary aspect your vocation and ministry, generally with at least one year of full-time preaching ministry under your belt (though new preachers may be considered);
Practitioners of preaching who wish to grow and deepen their engagement with the Scriptures, in service to the Church;
Preachers who are ready to commit to spiritual friendship with other preachers, mutually encouraging and lifting each other up as we grow in our preaching ministry.
Participants in the Preaching Cohort will be strengthened and supported, fostering an ongoing “community of practice” to support and encouraging you in your ongoing ministry.
