Different from previous interviews, this episode invites the listener into a conversation between evangelical leader, Jon Tyson, and Catholic leader, James Mallon. Originally recorded as a webinar moderated by Shaila Visser from Alpha Canada, the conversation explores crucial themes of church renewal, reaching the next generation, and the joy of learning from different Christian traditions.
A treasure trove of insights, the back-and-forth between Father James and Jon Tyson has the listener scrambling for a means to take detailed notes. One highlight among many is hearing both men dispense advice to their younger selves in ministry. The value of spiritual disciplines, serving alongside a team of peers, and the benefit of deep levels of accountability are explored and expounded upon.
In the end, this webinar introduces the listener to the mental dexterity and theological acumen of two influential leaders, interacting across denominational lines, who share a love for Jesus, the church, and single malt scotch. The unique blend of insights and the whirlwind of practical wisdom that results make this episode a must-listen for any leader.
